CUSTOM COLORS AND FINISHES AND WOOD INFORMATION
The fine furniture we offer is designed to look like you've owned it for years. Natural signs of aging, nicks, scratches, such as season cracks, shrinkage, distressing are a normal part of this look. Nature is unique and never duplicates, making no two pieces of wood, even from the same tree, exactly alike. Slight color differences between pieces of a collection or even in one piece of furniture may be noticed. Natural stains, knots, wood grains and markings inherent to wood products are considered desirable features. They enhance the uniqueness and beauty of the furniture and are not to be considered defects in our craftsmanship.
All finishes are done by hand and reflect hours of hand rubbing. Finishes may vary somewhat while wood characteristics will vary considerably. Therefore, we cannot guarantee an exact match to a previous order; however, we will do our best. These characteristics, combined with the natural graining and knots, enhance the uniqueness of each piece.
Though new, each piece has a rich, worn, weathered feel, seeming to reflect usage over time. Each piece is handmade and hand-painted. Thus, irregularities in the finishes are not considered to be defects. Our finishes are durable, but not indestructible.
Over time, the natural resins in knots and grains may bleed through and discolor the finish. This is not a defect in craftsmanship, nor are irregularities in the finishes.
